Hello! I am Jovania Carvalho, a master's student at INES. I am the teacher who wrote the series "Solidariedade," which is my educational product developed during the professional master's program. It is a series of books with an emphasis on critical literacy for children from 1st to 5th grade of elementary school, where I gradually develop reflections on comprehension. It involves cultural aspects, where through experiences, I share with the little ones possibilities for problem-solving, comfort amid pain, feelings of belonging, etc. The idea of using sign language in written form is to reach everyone. This material is available in Braille, sign language video, audio, Portuguese, and SignWriting, and also features characters in the form of dolls.

Come and participate with us in the launch of the bilingual children's book (Libras-SignWriting and Portuguese) entitled: "Telasco and his class in: "The legend of Manguda."
The event will take place in the auditorium of the Core of Technologies for Education (UEMAnet) of the Maranhão State University (UEMA), at 15:00 on November 09 (Thursday). The solemnity will also feature a live stream on YouTube platform, via the official UEMA channel.
The book reveals the mysteries surrounding the legend of Manguda in a fun way to be told by the Telasco gang made up of deaf characters, who are and were part of the local history, and were made into illustrations marked in Libra
